Palm jaggery ismuch sweeter than sugarcane jaggery. Palm jaggery is made by extracting the sapof the palm which is then manually boiled and churned to make palm jaggery. Thenormal jaggery is made using sugarcane and gets the sweetness of dates.
How to know if palm jaggery is pure?
The colour of pure palm jaggery is dark brown, if it is yellowish in colour then it is chemically treated to increase the shelf life of the product.
