Made by grinding chikpeas into a flour. Also known as Gram flour. Organic flour is milled from pesticide-free grain and grown in soil only fertilized by natural substances. The flour is not artificially processed or chemically ripened.
Benefit : higher in fibre and lower in calorie than refined wheat flour. It is also a good source of protein.
Uses : a multi-purpose ingredient in our kitchens. Used in various sweet and savoury preparations. Most popular are ladoo , dhokla, chila/pancake. Could be used to replacement for wheat flour.
