Adding Mushroom at Healthy Buddha - How did we go about?
At Healthy Buddha, we have been avoiding adding Mushrooms in our menu for a long time. Primarily because button mushroom it is almost impossible to grow organically. Oyster Mushrooms can be grown organically, but it needs to be consumed within 2 days of harvest. Post which it could upset one's stomach. We did not quite want to take a chance of that with our customers.

So, when we come across this product which lets you grow the mushroom without much effort right out of your kitchen. We thought it will be perfect for our customers.

Like any Healthy Buddha Product, we wanted to start selling the same only after we personally experiencing the same. So, we got a sample of the same and tried it ourselves. In fact, it makes a great experience product for the kids. Gautham, healthy buddha co founder, let his son spray water on it everyday so he can see first hand how the mushroom buds come out. Less than a week, the mushroom sprouted. In about 7-8 days, we had well grown mushrooms ready to plucked and eaten.
