
Latest pesticide test results & What it means (part 1)

At Healthy Buddha we regularly test our produce for pesticide residues so you can shop with confidence.
These tests clearly show, in black and white, whether a particular farm or produce is truly organic or naturally grown.
Here are the latest results from NABL-accredited labs.
What we tested and what we found
Green Chilli (15-Oct): Tested for 250+ pesticide molecules. No residues detected.
Apples from Kinnaur (13-Oct): Screened for 40+ pesticide residues, heavy metals, coatings, and sulphur dioxide. No residues detected. No wax or mineral oil coating. Heavy metals within FSSAI limits.
Dark Beans (15-Oct): Tested for 250+ pesticide molecules. Trace residues detected but within Organic Certification norms.
Beetroot OOTY Residue Test (Dt. 23-Sep-25): Ooty Govindan Organic Farm. Tested for 200+ chemical residues No residues detected.
Tomato Residue Report (Dt. 24-Sep-25): Tested and found within limit for 200+ chemical residues. Trace residues detected but within Organic Certification norms.
What this means for you - Part 1
Following residues are not detected across all compounds tested or it is within limits.
Organophosphates - Common in conventional produce but absent across all samples — confirms natural pest management.
Possible Health Impact if Present: Affects nervous system and can cause headaches, nausea and long-term neuro issues.
Organochlorines (DDT, Endosulfan, etc.) - No legacy pesticide traces — indicates clean soil, water and sustainable farming practices.
Possible Health Impact if Present: Linked to hormone disruption and liver damage; persistent in the environment.
Pyrethroids: No post-harvest or field-level chemical residues detected — excellent handling and cold-chain hygiene.
Possible Health Impact if Present: Can cause skin irritation, allergies and neurological symptoms on prolonged exposure.
