Cook about 250g vegetables of your choice and keep aside.
Cook rice and toor dal about 100g each in a vessel with a pinch of turmeric.
To this add the cooked vegetables, cut tomatoes, 1 tbsb bisi bele bath powder, tamarind extract and salt to taste.
Simmer for 5 minutes.
Season with mustard, curry leaves, cashew nuts, onion or capsicum using cooking oil or ghee.
