Emmer wheat, due to hard and vitreous nature of its grains, milling quality is very superior especially for semolina preparation.Semolina of dicoccum wheat needs less cooking time and has more cooking tolerance.
Benefits: high dietary fibre content, low glycemic index, high satiety value and higher content of antioxidants. Low in gluten. It is known to aid in management of diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
Uses: make upma , payasam , porridge.
