This wonder seeds comes from South Rajasthan. These are small black seeds grown on Kalonji bushes. Kalonji is both flavoring, added to a variety of traditional foods, and an herbal remedy that is known to cure a variety of ailments.
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry, dark place.
Uses: Can be used in curries, dals for typically creating a pickle like taste. Kalonji is used as part of spice mixture, "Paanch Phuran" and by itself in a great many recipes in Bengali cookery and most recognizably in Naan bread, Peshawari Naan and any type of currys and Dal.
